Before Your CoolBreeze® Treatment

Before your first CoolBreeze® laser treatment at Key Laser Institute, you’ll receive a comprehensive explanation of the treatment plan. We’ll discuss your skin issues, suitability to the desired treatment, and desired results.

CoolBreeze® requires a series of sessions for optimal results, typically spaced about a month apart. 

Before the treatment, patients may need to avoid the sun (and tanning beds) as well as certain skincare products, like retinol, that could make your skin more sensitive.

During Your CoolBreeze® Treatment

CoolBreeze® treatments are completely non-invasive. 

During your treatment, a laser light is passed across your skin, gently heating the skin’s upper layers and stimulating the cells deep below the surface. This process produces natural collagen, which imbues your skin with firmness and elasticity. The collagen and elastin fibers continue multiplying, and you will continue to see results for several months following CoolBreeze® treatment.

After Your CoolBreeze® Treatment

Your practitioner will advise you on the optimal care for your skin following CoolBreeze® in Portland, but generally, you will want to avoid the following for 5–7 days following treatment:

  • Sun exposure, including tanning beds
  • Heavy makeup or facial creams
  • Perfumed facial products
  • Excessively hot water

How Long Does It Take To See Results?

Improvements to your skin will be visible about 4 weeks after the first CoolBreeze® treatment, and your skin will continue to improve for months after the last treatment.

How Many CoolBreeze Treatments Will I Need?

For fine lines and wrinkles, we recommend one to two series of three CoolBreeze treatments about a month apart.rnrnFor acne, we suggest CoolBreeze treatments once a week for four to six weeks. After the active acne is treated, we may suggest additional CoolBreeze or other treatments for further scar reduction
