Once the skin has been numbed, Dr. Key or his assistants will administer extra local anesthesia to the most sensitive areas.
Even though the Genius needle tips are microscopic, the treatment can cause a pricking sensation with some heat. Areas where there are deeper imperfections may experience more discomfort than areas with superficial imperfections.
What do downtime and recovery look like after a microneedling session?
While there is no actual downtime required after the Genius RF, your skin may be red, with some pinpoint bleeding, which is normal. Any redness usually lasts from 1–24 hours, and you may experience a little swelling. Your skin may become dry a few days after your treatment.
